LA-based duo, FRENSHIP brought their Vacation Tour to the Fonda Theater on the second to last stop of the tour, with a night full of dancing and smooth energy. From the moment they set foot on stage, their infectious dancing and solid vocals resonated throughout the venue and turned the energy up from 0 to 100.
Starting their set off with “Remind Me”, James and Brett gave a preview for the night-to-be with their unexpectedly good dance moves and high-energy. Their setlist took you through their musical journey, covering hits from previous years as well as material from their new album, Vacation. Some of the songs in the setlist included MI Amore, Wanted A Name, Swim, Wide Open, Won’t Let You Go, 1000 Nights, Carpet, LOVE Somebody, Knives and Capsize.
The stage was decorated with umbrellas and plants, giving a nudge to their tour and latest album name, Vacation.
FRENSHIP’s interaction with the audience was fantastic. Both guys were humble and down to earth, sharing stories of their musical journey and expressing their gratitude for people making it out to the show. Their onstage chemistry was undeniable, with the duo showing the true definition of the ying meeting its yang. James was so energetic, with his charismatic dance moves, while Brett was more mellow, exuding a more relaxed vibe. This pair together balance each other out perfectly. And let’s not forget their synchronized dance moves, often swaying together side by side, and jumping playfully around the stage – these two are a joy to watch.
By the end of their set, it looked like the crowd was ready to keep partying, as the guys threw inflatable beachballs at the crowd for them to toss around, bringing the Vacation theme full circle. We most certainly recommend watching these guys live, as it'll be without a doubt a guaranteed good time.
