The new year has arrived and the majority of the population is either canceling their gym membership already or is crazy in the head for keeping the membership. For Chelsea Cutler, the year is starting off on a high note with an intimate release party for her new album How To Be Human at the Sayers Club in LA while being surrounded by her friends, family, and fans. She announced this surprised filled show on her Instagram story, encouraging fans to sign up to win tickets by sharing why they should be invited to the show. Many gathered that night in anticipation to see and to hear what this up and coming artist has been working on.
With a welcoming smile on her face, Chelsea Cutler greeted the crowd with her drummer and keyboardist by kicking off the night with "You Are Losing Me," a single from her new album. The entire crowd sang the lyrics as if they had been listening to the track for years. Chelsea expressed that she couldn't believe that it's finally here and is able to celebrate it with her loved ones. She also kindly asked to put away their phones after playing the first two songs to fully enjoy the intimacy of the show. Playing the launchpad herself, Chelsea moved around the stage from one end to the other with much energy, expressing her joy and excitement for her new music.
Chelsea continued on with her set with an acoustic performance of "I Was In Heaven" and surprised the audience with a performance of "You Were Good To Me" with Jeremy Zucker. Little did they know that this was only the beginning of a night filled with guest performances of duet songs. Quinn XCII joined to perform "Flare Guns," and Alexander 23, who will also be joining Chelsea on an upcoming tour, performed "Lucky" with the singer.
Throughout the entire night, its momentum did not slow down as Chelsea carried on her set with tracks from her new album "Sad Tonight" (personal favorite!) and an oldie but a goodie "Your Shirt.” Heightening the audience's adrenaline, the crowd especially went loud when she covered The Killer's iconic track "Mr. Brightside.” The room filled with voices in unison as they sang "The Reason", ending the night of her release party in success.
We are so excited to see young talent like Chelsea Cutler flourish in music and cannot wait to see what her journey brings this upcoming year. Be sure to check her new album How To Be Human and mark your calendars down for her upcoming tour with Alexander 23!
