With summer nearly approaching its end, music lovers made their way to Santa Barbara Bowl to enjoy a night of good entertainment curated by Young the Giant and Fitz and the Tantrums — two bands who have made a name for themselves. That’s right, what these two bands produced together is not just another night of concert; it was a production made to entertain their supporters.

After a month of her first headlining tour, XYLO returns to her hometown Los Angeles to end her amazing journey. Surrounded by her family and friends along with her loyal audience, she began the night with “yes & no” which is also the title of her latest EP. The crowd joined her in singing as she jumped around the stage with her cute ponytail and mini-skirt. What also made the night special was her birthday at midnight which she seemed very excited about knowing that she is about to celebrate while doing what she loved most.

The Shelters brought their unique yet familiar sound to the Moroccan Lounge. Their psychedelic tune mixed with electric guitars and synths is a sound that we never knew we needed. From the start, the night was filled with the band’s rockstar presence as they walked out on stage. Using dim lights to create a mysterious feel and having the two mic stands crossed with each other so that Chase Simpson and Josh Jové are essentially singing to each other while the drummer Sebastian Harris is in center view, the band created a sense of unity as they performed their set

Six bands, one night. Upon entering the Belasco Theater we were under the impression that the venue wouldn’t be very packed, as the sets started early but boy were we wrong, the Belasco Theater was full right from the opening act Life Right Now.
The first few sets of the night by bands Life Right Now, HAWK and Gideon were short — consisting of a maximum of 4 songs per set. Even though their sets were shorter than average, their energy and charisma set the stage for what would continue to be a wild night.
